October is the month of the Full Hunter Moon. In the Northern Hemisphere this moon used to herald the time to go hunting, to gather meats with important fats and skins to see them through the winter months.
We see trees are increasingly losing their leaves, nature's reminder clock that we are heading towards leaner months and though of course food may not be as scarce as those days the winter months can add extra pressures and burdens to life and preparation can be key.
Hunters Full Moon is a time for inner strength, getting to work and spiritual growth
We look to the Hunters Moon as a time to get to work on achieving our goals. Just as hunting was easier for the Native American tribes at this time then goals can be a little easier to work on now rather than later, don’t delay. Our energy levels are still supportive, though we may be starting to feel the wane as we get ready for the time for drawing inwards, so you may have to tap into your inner strength to push forward.
We are also close to Samhain (Halloween) which means the veils between worlds is thinning so this is a time for spiritual growth, you may find your extra perception, your inner knowing stronger at this. Full Moon is typically a time for strong dreams but with Hunter’s moon, they may be more vivid. Take special note of your dreams because they may be carrying more meaning and guidance for not only from your own inner wisdom but from spirit guides and ancestors as they find it easier to get their messages across the thinned veil to you.
This is a month to work on being clear and focussed on working towards your goals. Also, Hunter’s Moon is a time to connect with spiritual guidance and for honouring your ancestral line.
Action Question for Full Hunters Moon
The Yang energies of the full moon are about taking action so during the full moon ask yourself
“What actions can I start taking to work towards manifesting my goals to carry me forward?”
“What can I do with the guidance that I am receiving this month?”
Don’t allow this to remain just a thought process though, create an action plan for achieving it.
And don’t forget to ask the strong manifesting/creative energies of the full moon to help had extra power to the actions and bring them into reality
